Announcement for Start of Hari Raya 2024 for Singapore

According to astronomical calculations, the crescent for the month of Syawal did appear during sunset today for 32 minutes. As such, I am pleased to announce that the first day of Syawal or Hari Raya Aidilfitri for the year 1445 Hijrah falls on Wednesday, 10 April 2024.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish all Muslims in Singapore “Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri”. May God accept our deeds of worship during the month of Ramadan and grant us blessings and success as we celebrate Hari Raya.
