About ICCOS 2024 ICCOS 2024, with the theme “Inspiring Future Leaders: Building Trust, Empowering Communities” will focus on the role of current and future community leaders in developing Communities of Success. Their role in collaborating with other societal actors is crucial to achieve a thriving life for all. Like the previous ICCOS in 2022, this year’s conference will continue to underpin the importance of partnerships among religious, community and government leaders in supporting minority Muslim communities to thrive in their societies. This trust is the common thread that binds the different segments together, and it is then the government leaders’ role to also ensure parity of treatment amongst all so that this engenders confidence in government and trust between communities, thereby strengthening social cohesion and unity in society.

Jalan-Jalan: Learning Journey

 

The Jalan-Jalan session offers local and foreign participants an immersive experience into the Singapore Muslim community’s commitment to community leadership and contribution. Participants engage with esteemed community partners, uncovering inspiring stories and insights through guided tours and conversations. They will be invited to share their reflections through Padlet and social media.

World Café

The World Café is the final phase of a social hackathon aimed at developing leadership skills and empowering participants to contribute to community development. It provides a platform for collaboration and idea-sharing, fostering empathetic and socially conscious leaders. Mentorship and guidance are offered to help youths translate their ideas into actionable projects addressing community needs.

Muis Awards

The Muis Awards is the pinnacle award to acknowledge individuals who have made significant contributions to our socio-religious institutions, mosque sector, partner organisations as well as the larger Singapore Muslim society. These awards represent the highest honour for the Singapore Muslim community and are conferred by the President of the Republic of Singapore.
