SKW1101 English Academic Writing
This workshop in academic writing aims to equip students with the fundamental principles and skills to write well-organised, clear and coherent academic essays. The first four weeks will focus on the foundation of academic English with the aim of teaching students the skills and strategies to write coherent paragraphs, refresh students' knowledge of English grammar with a focus on more commonly made errors in students' writing and develop students' academic vocabulary.
SKW1301 Introduction to Training & Education - MUIS
Introduction to basic teaching and learning theories through selected learning frameworks. It will expose participants to various pedagogical approaches and assessment practices employed in classroom settings. It will also give them the opportunity to practise designing lesson plans taking into considerations the learning objectives, delivery strategies, learning activities and assessment methods.
SKW1210 Self-Paced Skills Workshops
In line with providing students industry-relevant future-ready skills, students will complete a variety of courses covering various topics students may choose from including digital literacy, communication, critical and applied thinking, and teamwork and collaboration.

a. SKW1211 Basis of Research
This course is part of the monthly Capstone Seminars which aims to provide you with guidance and support in navigating your capstone development journey.
By the end of this course, learners should be able to design and conduct a social science research project for a given research problem.
b. SWK1212 Basis of Instructional Design Projects
This course is part of the monthly Capstone Seminars which aims to provide students with guidance and support in navigating your capstone development journey.
By the end of this course, learners should be able to develop courseware materials using appropriate software for a given instructional design problem.
c. SKW1213 Basics of Video Production
This course is part of the monthly Capstone Seminars which aims to provide students with guidance and support in navigating your capstone development journey.
By the end of this course, learners should be able to apply basic videography and editing techniques to video production.
