Singapore Halal Certification process

Step 1: Enquiries / Preparation

• Read and familiarise yourself with Halal Certification Conditions (HCC)

• Pass the Halal Competency Assessment (HCA)

Step 2: Application

*Processing time starts upon receipt of complete and accurate documentation. It excludes applicant response time and assumes companies are audit-ready upon submission.

Step 3: Processing

• Undergo document verification

• Participate in audits / inspections

Step 4: Certification

• Receive Halal Certificate (Valid for 1 or 2 years)

Step 5: Post-Certification

• Undergo unannounced inspections

• Update information such as menu, ingredients and contact information via E-Service portal as needed

Step 6: Renewal

• Renewal application automatically submitted 120 days before expiry date
