Purifying the Heart from Arrogance

  • Last week, we talked about the virtues of patience and resilience in facing challenges as exemplified by Prophet Ayyub (a.s.). Today, let us together reflect upon the story of Iblis who refused to obey Allah’s command to bow down to Prophet Adam (a.s.).

  • Arrogance is a despicable trait that can destruct a person. Such was the arrogance of Iblis. His arrogance made him look down on others. His arrogance and ego blinded him from looking at his mistakes and flaws, thus thinking that his opinion is the only right, whereas others are wrong.
